Simulation FrameworkGet v1.3 ↗

A world that continues between encounters.#

SimLOD is an opt-in simulation framework for RimWorld mods. Keep persistent abstract entities, advance their simulation, and bring framework-generated Pawns onto a map when your gameplay needs them. Preserve the same individuals when they return.

Give your simulation continuity#

An expedition can leave, consume supplies in abstract simulation, and return with the same native crew. A survey can produce deterministic reports while no Pawns exist for it. A provider command can change a mission and return its original accepted receipt when the caller repeats the request after a save.

Your mod defines the meaning of those events. SimLOD supplies the persistent records, scheduling, and checked transitions that connect them.

Build with Use it for
Persistent entities Stable IDs, provider-owned payloads, validation, schema migration, and preservation when a provider is missing.
Deterministic updates Saved random state, fixed deadlines, bounded scheduled work, and catch-up.
Provider commands · new in 1.3 Revision-checked domain changes, typed refusals, and durable accepted receipts.
Native Pawn continuity Explicit materialization, retention of actual Pawns, and rematerialization on existing maps.
Recovery Saved partial native progress, ownership diagnostics, and prepared settlement.
Abstract dormancy Pause eligible abstract-only records and resume with bounded catch-up.

Choose a starting point#

Know the boundary#

SimLOD alone adds no gameplay and makes no automatic TPS improvement claim. Retained Pawns receive no automatic native Pawn ticks. Your mod owns its economy, world-map UI, social behavior, disease rules, and physical item transfers.

Automatic map virtualization, arbitrary existing-colonist conversion, and Multiplayer support are outside the current scope. Read the support policy before choosing an integration.
